As a result of a review of non-clinical services in 2004, FacilicorpNB was given the mandate in 2008 to manage laundry services in the New Brunswick health system. On January 1, 2010, Fundy Linen, Saint John, joined our Laundry and Linen Division. The other hospital laundries in New Brunswick joined our team on April 1, 2012.
Centralizing the management of all hospital laundries allows us to provide efficient, cost-effective and quality laundry services to New Brunswick hospitals by taking advantage of group purchasing, economies of scale in processing, and shared administrative costs.
Services provided to health facilities in New Brunswick include laundry pick-up, cleaning and delivery to facilities. We provide a complete range of products including white linen, surgical gowns, drapes, scrubs, incontinent care products, and a surgical pack service.
The hospitals and long-term care facilities we serve are relieved of the daily management of laundry and linen processing. We take care of it, leaving health-care facilities to concentrate on providing quality health care.
